Baleshwar temple is located in Champawat district.It is renowed for its artistic features. The foundation of this temple was laid down by the early kings of the Chand dynasty. The temple once had intricate structural features and a sanctuary with a ‘mandap’. The signs intricate carving can be seen on the ceilings of these temples is an evidence of their ancient glory and artistic excellence.

The hill is located at 92 kms from Champawat. The hill encompasses a temple which is visited by the devotees during Chaitra Navratri.The river Kali also known as Sharda decends from Purnagiri to its plains. From the highest point (the temple) of Purnagiri hill the pilgrim can see the expanse of Kali, its islands, the township of Tanakpur and a few Nepali villages. The old Buram Deo Mandi is located nearby.

Reetha Meetha Saheb

The construction of this Gurudwara can be dated back to 1960. The place is located at a distance of 72 kms from Champawat. It can be visited from Dhunaghat (on the Lohaghat -Devidhura road).According to legends, Guru Nanak visited this place and had spiritual discussions with Gorakhpanthi Jogis. There are trees of sweet Reetha (Sapindus emarginatus) in the Gurudwara premises, adjoining it is the temple of Dhernath.Gurudwara organises fair on Baisakhi Poornima.

The place derives its name from a fact that Mr. Abbot built a bungalow in this place in 1914.One can drive or walk up to the mount, which is 3 Km from Marorakhan and 7km from Lohaghat. It is located amidst a thick forest of oak and deodar.The tourist can enjoy the beatific view of the Himalayan peaks. Various activities and games are held in this place in order to encourage tourism.

Mayawati Ashram

The ashram is located at 22 kms away from Champawat at an altitude of 1940 meters.Advait Ashram of Mayawati. is located at the tea estate. Swami Vivekanand shifted the publication office of ‘Prabuddh Bharat’ from Madras to Mayawati in 1898. The place also encompasses a library and a small museum. It also provide accomodation on permission.

It is located at 40 kms from Lohaghat at the confluence of river Kali and Saryu. Pancheshwar share the border with Nepal.It is renowed for the temple of Chaumu, its fair and a dip at the confluence is considered to be very sacred. Chaumu is worshiped as a protector of animals. Bells and milk are offered in the temple of Pancheshwar. The temple at Pancheshwar is devoted to Lord Shiva.
