Jodhpur district is centrally located in western part of the state. It is headquarter of western districts of the state, i.e., Pali, Jodhpur Nagaur, Sirohi, Barmer, Jalore and Jaisalmer. It is boun by Bikaner and Jaisalmer districts in the north, Barmer and Pali districts in south, Nagaur district in the east and Jaisalmer district in the west
